The difference is Owner, Founder, CEO and Other C-Level Position. Same Leaders But Different Tasks An established company certainly has an organizational structure to define the roles and responsibilities of each individual working in it. If you look at the top chart, there will be several executive positions listed in it. Starting from the CEO, COO, and other C-C or commonly referred to as the C-level aka the highest executives in multinational companies. Not to mention the founder or owner.

Even though I often hear, do you really know what and how the executive positions worked? Hipwee Success has summarized some of the highest positions that generally exist in the following companies, later if you meet them, don't misrepresent you! Or even you occupy these positions? Just leave

1. The founder was pinned for the first person who founded or sparked a business idea, while other colleagues could be called co-founders

This founder refers to the first person who initiated or found a business idea. Well, if there are 2 or more founders or inventors, then they can be called co-founders. So, the co-founder was a colleague who collaborated with the founder who was called the first person. But the share of those who were founders and who became co-founders was returned to the person concerned. For example, Mark Zuckerberg as Facebook founder and his five friends become co-founders.

2. If the owner is more directed to the business owner or who invests in the company

This owner can be an individual or group. The point is anyone who invests or has shares in the company, including if the founder also has a stake in the company, then that is what is called the owner. If for example the founder sells his shares, he automatically comes out as owner, but he will still be called the founder at any time.

3. This CEO (Chief Executive Office) has the highest position in a company whose job is to lead the entire company

This CEO or leader is usually referred to as director. This CEO is appointed by a board of commissioners or a group of people appointed to oversee the activities of a company. To be able to lead a company, the CEO is expected to have the ability to make quick and precise decisions, minimize business risks, and increase company profits. Well, these CEOs need help of some C-level who became his deputy as below.

4. If the COO (Chief Operating Officer) is more responsible for the company's operational activities

This deputy director is usually called the Operational Director who plays a role in leading the company's internal operational division. His own tasks vary depending on the business model of a company he leads. For example, COOs in retail distribution companies are tasked with handling the smooth availability of merchandise and employee productivity. This COO reports its responsibilities directly to the CEO.

5. Well, the deputy director in charge of marketing activities is called CMO (Chief Marketing Officer)

The Marketing Director is responsible for leading the marketing division and handling various things about marketing in the company, just the same thing is the sale and the customer. Not only that, CMO also includes public relations, market research, and imaging. CMO is responsible for creating the 'face' of the company in the eyes of the public because of its affairs that go directly to the public.

6. Well, acting as a technology expert is usually called the technology director or CTO (Chief Technology Officer)

The role of the CTO has only emerged in recent years due to the development of internet technology. All activities related to technology and information lead to the CTO. Usually many found in start-up companies working in the internet and application fields. During the process, he manages a team of technicians who will also help him ensure that technology and information in the company are running well.

7. The deputy director who manages the company's finance is called the CFO (Chief Financial Officer)

The role of CFO in a company is closely related to the procurement of funding, spending, budget formation, and the making of financial statements within the company. He is also responsible for employee payroll, including managing if the company experiences financial related risks.

All of the above positions are some of the many positions that are usually listed on the top line of a company. His name can also be different in each company, it could be called CMO as marketing head or many others. Whether or not these positions also depend on the type and business process of the company.
